Recently, speculation started in the comment section below one of AXE’s ‘You Gold’ films. People were commenting that the soundtrack lyrics said ‘suck my balls, suck my balls, suck my balls’ - see the pic below. Somehow, AXE felt they had to reply to those allegations. 

To clarify this uncomfortable situation, AXE and 72andSunny Amsterdam reached out to Diederik van Middelkoop, music producer who worked on the ad, to understand exactly what the lyrics say or not say. 

After consulting with lawyers and musicologists, he has assured 72andSunny and AXE that the song does not actually contain the expression ‘suck my balls’. In fact, he assured us that the song also doesn’t say ‘fluff my balls’, ‘toss my balls’, ‘snuff my balls’, ‘hug my ball’s or even ‘balls my balls’. 

To make sure they ended this speculation, the team shot an official response that AXE/Lynx is posting on their YouTube page.
