With new material from Liam Bailey, The Black Keys and Bombay Bicycle Club

Ahoy, music enthusiasts and LinkedIn aficionados! Before the era of masks and social distancing, I used to share a weekly playlist on LBB; a selection of my favourite earworms that had been released during that week. Hidden gems that were overshadowed by the teeny-bop tracks that dominated the Top 40.

Well, guess what? I'm back to sprinkle some auditory magic on your professional networking platform!

First up on this magical mystery tour is Liam Bailey's ‘Mercy Tree’. It’s like a rebellious reggae spirit with a megaphone, shouting out against inequality and calling for a worldwide group hug. With an infectious rhythm, and a retro groove, ‘Mercy Tree’ is definitely one to add to your favourites…I absolutely love it. Bailey, from Nottingham, delivers a musical sermon on racial tensions, turning injustice into a rallying cry for unity. It's a revolution song you can dance to – a rebel with a beat!

Next on the playlist is Bombay Bicycle Club, serving up their latest EP 'Fantasies' and teasing us with the lead single, 'Fantasneeze.' I don't know about you, but if sneezing fantasies were a thing, I'd be stocking up on tissues. This musical journey by the club of bombays is a whirlwind of creativity, with the talented Matilda Mann adding her sweet vocals to the mix.

Feeling a bit under the weather? No worries! Canadian duo Sultan + Shepard are here with the cure in the form of their latest release, 'Falling Behind'. Partnering up with the enchanting vocals of Panama, this song is like a musical elixir for the soul. It's part of their grand project, 'Endless, Dawn,' set to drop in March. Get ready to be healed, my friends, because Sultan + Shepard are prescribing a dose of musical magic.

And then, The Black Keys burst onto the scene with ‘Beautiful People (Stay High)’. It's not just a song; it's a collaboration masterpiece featuring the musical geniuses Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney, sprinkled with a touch of Beck and Dan the Automator. This single is the promo to their upcoming album, 'Ohio Players,' dropping on April 5. Brace yourselves for appearances from Noel Gallagher, Greg Kurstin, and more surprises than a birthday party at Willy Wonka's chocolate factory.

Now, let's take a detour to the Dublin pop realm, where Kayleigh Noble reigns as the princess of emotive tunes. From packing Dublin's hottest venues to gracing Spotify playlists, Kayleigh is on a roll. Her track 'meanie.' is a sonic rollercoaster of emotional intensity and female rage. It's a stunning, minimalistic, and emotionally wrenching piece of music that has the power to bring tears even to the most resilient individuals.

Last but not least, SG Lewis's 'Fever Dreamer' is making waves on my playlist radar. Originally released in the early days of 2023, this track is like a glitter bomb of pop-edged electronics with a disco twist. It's the kind of music that transports you to a massive festival, complete with confetti cannons and neon lights. With a little help from the maestro Channel Tres and a dash of magic from the enchanting vocals of Charlotte Day Wilson, 'Fever Dreamer' is the perfect concoction to get your party started.

So there you have it, fellow LinkedIn warriors! Spice up the end of your workweek with these hidden gems and let the beats be your guide through the jungle of professionalism. Until next time, keep the music loud and the connection requests even louder!
