More madness and mayhem than any Disco Anthem could desire, this clip is an homage to everything fabulous. Under the TYP label, which was financed by the French label to be in their collection, The Young Professionals' (Tel Aviv) launch their first single D.I.S.C.O.
A crew of forty balanced the beams in this one day studio shoot, using the Arri Alexa camera, and after two weeks for production, and post at Broadcast this Scissor Sisters esque creation was birthed onto the scene. Using an ensemble of art directing, hair and make up talent that is a nod to the era where kitsch was contemporary. This promo contains a sample of the Ottawan's 80's anthem D.I.S.C.O and is beautifully juxtaposed visually by the production team of director Guy Sagy and Ooops Films production.
The video's camp appeal is painted across the background performers in all the colours of the rainbow by the fabulous Eran Pal and has a drink with drag in a cross-dresser who dances lead. Though singers Ivri Lider and Yonatan Goldstein, who composed and produced the music, leave us clad in stilettos, the video's walk on the wild side is balanced by a smooth electro styling that defies genre. D.I.S.C.O. is Tel Aviv's answer to Freddie Mercury!
