Merck's accessible storytelling for blue chip clients including Cadillac, Dominos, Coca-Cola, Toohey's, Chevrolet and Volkswagen has been recognised by the Director's Guild of America, Cannes Lions and the One Show Entertainment Awards.
A statement on the effectiveness of his craft, Merck has directed three seasons of Racing Under Green for VW and the Discovery Channel.
Merck's other credits include the opening titles for Saturday Night Live, The Art of Walking for National Geographic Channel and the music video for the 20th anniversary re-release of Pantera's classic album Vulgar, which features real fans getting punched in the face in slow motion.
