Lily is a director, and photographer interested in creating a narrative, particularly around women and intimacy. She began working as a photographer, taking self-portraits and photographs of friends which lead her to have work exhibited at The Cob Gallery, and her zine ‘Heartbreak City’ was later stocked at Printed Matter in New York & The Photographer’s Gallery.
After shooting album artwork for many bands & musicians, Lily’s boyfriend’s band saw her potential to move from stills to video and she went on to direct four consecutive videos for their band, Beach Baby. Realising that the moving image held more potential, she has since worked on videos with labels including Universal and Domino, and most recently has directed a branded content series for Adidas.
Lily spent a good chunk of time working in video at i-D, which allowed her to develop her style as a director, working across projects including Gurls Talk with Adwoa Aboah and on the i-D Meets and Summer of Love series.
Lily has just completed “A short film about Anxiety”. to mark Mental Health Day which received great critical acclaim including VOTD.
She says "Joining My Accomplice was a no brainer - not only do they produce great work but their hands on approach to supporting and championing emerging talent makes me feel right at home".
On Lily's hire, Jamie Clark-Founder My Accomplice said, "Lily is a fantastic talent and great to work with. She has a really strong aesthetic, is a great story teller and is really proactive so brings a real energy to every project she works on. We are really thrilled to be working with her!"
