My Accomplice director tells the personal stories of six women after pregnancy loss and baby loss

My Accomplice shares director Imogen Harrison's latest work, 'If Everyone Knew'

If Everyone Knew is a short documentary about baby loss, sharing the personal journeys of six incredible women. Filmed across the UK during the winter lockdown, If Everyone Knew shines a spotlight on the isolation that so many women experience after both miscarriage and stillbirth resulting from the stigma society has imposed on open discussion of pregnancy loss and baby loss.

From Imogen: “I started thinking about making this film after someone very close to me miscarried. She had a great support network, but what was lacking that impacted her emotionally was an understanding and sensitive medical support system & further to that, a wider network that could respond to her normally.

This film is about bringing a voice to women who have experienced baby loss, allowing them to tell their stories, in a safe and honest space. The hope here is to bring understanding to it and more than that, if we can bring a voice to women who’ve been through it, we can help women who may be going through this alone and create a bigger feeling of community and acceptance."
