Global marketing and technology agency
DigitasLBi has appointed Fern Miller to the newly-created role of Chief
Marketing Officer, International.
Miller, who is currently DigitasLBi’s Chief
Strategy & Insight Officer, International, will now take on overall
responsibility for the agency’s new business, marketing and brand strategy.
The move will see DigitasLBi’s new business and
marketing teams become more closely aligned, and signals the agency’s
commitment to further developing its industry-leading, content-driven approach
to marketing.
Miller joined DigitasLBi as Head of Planning for
EMEA in 2011. She was promoted to the position of Chief Strategy & Insight
Officer, International in 2014, leading the planning discipline across
DigitasLBi’s offices in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
Prior to joining DigitasLBi, Miller was Planning
Director at creative agency Karmarama, developing strategies for brands like
the BBC, Lastminute.com and Unilever.
In her new role, Miller will report to Michael
Islip, Chief Executive, UK at DigitasLBi.
Nic Howell, who was promoted to the role of Head
of Creative Strategy in August of this year, will now assume responsibility for
leadership of DigitasLBi’s UK strategy team.
Michael Islip, Chief Executive, UK, DigitasLBi, said: “As we continue to build an amazing agency, we need someone who
can help make our brand matter to our clients, and who better to do that than
our smartest brand thinker?”
Fern Miller, Chief Marketing Officer, International, DigitasLBi, said: “I can’t wait to take on this challenge at a time when the
marketing industry is looking for new ways for agencies to do business. DigitasLBi’s
a great brand with strong leadership and a brilliant product – a planner’s
dream."
