Lee Joins the North American Executive Leadership Team to Drive the Strategic Vision for Digitas

Digitas, the connected marketing agency, has announced the promotion of Young Lee to chief strategy officer, where she’ll lead the strategic vision for the agency. Young will continue to unify the team’s connected strategy offering and infuse media-fuelled creativity across all clients to drive success.

Previously at Digitas, Young served as executive vice president, head of brand and creative strategy, North America. In this role, she helped to win and expand on relationships with accounts like Mondelēz, Powerade, and Norwegian Cruise Line. She also implemented a consumer-first lens to inspire teams and drive business. Prior to Digitas, Young has served in various positions at agencies including Publicis New York, TBWA\Chiat\Day, Redscout, Deutsch, R/GA, and Wieden + Kennedy, bringing strategic thinking to well-known brands including Skittles, Citi, L’Oreal, Absolut, Nike, Pepsi, and IKEA. Young has a multi-disciplinary background, leading strategic initiatives across a broad range of categories over the course of her career. In her capacity as CSO, Young will be charged with elevating brand storytelling across the agency’s connected capabilities, for existing clients as well as new business.

“I’m thrilled to be taking on the role of chief strategy officer at Digitas to further shape the strategic thinking across the agency’s business,” said Young. “My goal is to help bring together creativity, media, data, and technology to build experiences that people welcome into their world and build brands that secure a role in their lives – thereby helping drive performance and create growth for our clients.”

With Digtas’ national leadership team, Young will focus on driving new business growth, creating strategic solutions for organic growth, and fortifying connections between the regional teams and national leaders to further develop the strategic craft of the 100+ person department.

In addition, the NA Executive Leadership team continues to expand, as Digitas has also elevated Melissa Berger to EVP, head of strategic growth and solutions. Melissa will be working with the regional strategy teams to drive organic growth through Digitas’ five core growth drivers. Her remit will include managing the operation of strategy teams across regional offices and codifying the agency’s growth solutions to help client leadership. Melissa will be reporting directly into Lee.
