Tough situations can be exhausting.
Ugly moments can rattle confidence.
Bad meetings can grow insecurities.
Big mistakes can shake us to our core.
Rejection can leave us wondering if our goals are realistic.
These things can all impact us on a deep level – deep enough to alter our mindsets, shift our behaviours and change the course of our lives... if we let them.
To make sure that never happens, we need to dig deeper and find something within ourselves that’s more powerful than the situation. I can’t tell you what that is exactly, but when you find it, you’ll know.
If someone causes you to question your confidence, dig deep and remember what you’ve done to get where you are and why you deserve what you’ve got.
If you’re rejected, dig deep and remember the passion that started your journey and let it reignite your next effort.
If you’re having a shit day, think about your family and dig deeper than any tough moment, knowing that others depend on your work ethic, grit and determination (this is my personal fuel every single day).
Don’t let any situation get the best of you. Don’t let it hit you deep. But know that when those tough moments challenge you, you can always dig deeper and push through.
