McCann Worldgroup announced today that it has won Just Eat Takeaway.com’s Global Creative Account, expanding McCann London’s remit globally, working in collaboration with McCann Worldgroup Australia, McCann Worldgroup Canada and McCann Worldgroup Amsterdam following a highly competitive pitch.
Following the merger of Just Eat and Takeaway.com last year, the combined business reviewed its advertising and communications’ requirements to build on the work done by both legacy companies. McCann, who previously held the business with Just Eat, will now work with Just Eat Takeaway.com across all its operating markets.
Susan O’Brien, VP, Brand, Just Eat Takeaway.com said: “Following careful consideration and a high standard of work from all pitching agencies, we’re delighted to appoint McCann as our global creative agency partner. McCann has significant experience working with multinational businesses at a global level and will play an important role in helping us to execute creative campaigns with a unified brand voice across all of our operating markets. The team showed clear ambition and delivered a fantastic pitch and we’re very much looking forward to continuing to work with them.”
Sheryl Marjoram, CEO, McCann London, “We are beyond thrilled to have won Just Eat Takeaway.com. We are so proud of our cross-disciplinary, international team who pulled together across the network to make this happen. As the incumbent, to go up against the best in the business makes winning this even more special. In the end it was above all about true partnership and commitment to their business.”
Mark Lund, President, UK & Europe, McCann Worldgroup, “This is such a significant global pitch and I am absolutely delighted with what our team achieved. They demonstrated the power of our McCann Worldgroup network in action; collaborating with intelligence, creativity and agility, and truly bringing together our brilliant teams to be unbeatable as one. ”
