The APAC Effie Awards has named Geometry’s Diana Cawley and Johnson and Johnson’s Nikhil Tivary as heads of jury for the APAC Effie Awards 2019.
Diana is the chief executive officer of Asia Pacific for Geometry Global. She joined Geometry in 2016, and is based in Shanghai, China. Diana relocated to Asia in 2012 to take on the role of global head of retail for Cheil Worldwide and thereafter had a stint with BBDO Worldwide as managing director for Shanghai.
Diana began her career in London at an independent UK agency working on the Safeway account, which was then the third largest grocery retailer in the UK. Her experience in grocery retail marketing led her to specialise in retail and in 2001, she launched a specialist retailer agency working with clients such as BP, BHS, Lloyds bank, Costa Coffee and the Post Office. When the agency was sold to Publicis in 2004 and aligned to Leo Burnett, she became the MD of Arc, London.
Speaking on her appointment, Diana said: “I am delighted to take on the role of head of jury for APAC Effie Awards 2019. The Effies are very important not just to our industry but to clients, as it values the results creative solutions generate in response to a business challenge. I look forward to reviewing excellent work that has made a great impact on business."
Nikhil Tivary is the chief marketing officer for Johnson and Johnson Vision Care, Asia Pacific. Having worked in both Asia and Europe, he has over 16 years of experience spanning both global and regional leadership roles. Nikhil has successfully turned around businesses in developing and developed markets through the launch of relevant products and communication mixes.
Prior to joining Johnson and Johnson, Nikhil was part of the Global team on Unilever’s 'Dirt is Good', which has helped the business grow multi-fold since its inception. He has built brands across the globe through consumer centricity, championing innovation, creating purposeful brands and using social with big data to build relationships. Nikhil is passionate about bringing to life a unique point of view of brands and creating brand experiences that truly elevate the role the brand plays in a consumer’s life. His goal is to develop and deploy products and ideas that add real value to people’s live.
