Deutsch New York CEO Val DiFebo announced today that Michael Goldberg is joining the Agency as Partner, Chief Marketing Officer in NY. “Our strong performance in winning new business and growing existing business is a nod to our leadership team, adding Michael with his impressive track record will poise us for even greater growth and momentum,” noted DiFebo.
Goldberg, most recently Senior Partner, Global Chief Marketing Officer at Porter-Novelli, officially joins Deutsch on August 1. Prior to Porter Novelli, Goldberg was with Zimmerman Advertising for almost a decade working with a strong team to help the agency more than double its client base and triple in size adding new clients including Office Depot, Dish Network, CARFAX, Atlantis among others.
“Michael has a raging passion for our business and the entrepreneurial drive to make a real impact,” said DiFebo. “His dynamic character and energy will compliment getting the Deutsch story out to external prospects. We’re excited to welcome him to Deutsch.” DiFebo and the Partners have overseen business development since September of 2010. Prior to then, new business had been part of the Chief Corporate Strategy Officer role held by Mike Duda who left to start up Consigliere.
“Deutsch is filled with wildly passionate and smart people, with a solid leadership team in place that makes things happen. I’m excited to become part of their amazingly strong culture,” noted Goldberg. “I’ve missed the advertising space and can’t wait to roll up my sleeves and dig in.”
In addition to yesterday’s announcement of Deutsch being named AOR of Go Daddy, in the past two weeks, DiFebo announced Anush Prabuh who joined as Partner, Director of Insights and Communications Planning from mcgarrybowen, the promotion of Brent Vartan to Partner, Chief Strategy Officer, and now Goldberg. “These additions will fortify our management team as we continually evolve and innovate our offering,” said DiFebo.
