Detour Films Signs Jordan Kelley

Santa Monica production company Detour Films is pleased to announce the signing of Jordan Kelley for exclusive commercial representation in the U.S.  Kelley brings to the collective a stand-alone visual style that infuses honesty into every image he captures, leaving the viewer inspired by every story he creates.

Kelley’s thoughtful, naturalistic approach harmonizes with clients that want to deliver a sincere message and engage the viewer on an emotional level.  Jordan debuted the Dr. Martens x Pendleton Autumn/Winter capsule collection with a campaign highlighting the craftsmanship and quality of the two heritage brands partnering to create a colorful and vibrant collection.  For a personal short-form piece “The Craftsman,” Jordan turned the lens on himself taking a pause from the modern fast-paced life to pursue learning the hands-on discipline of leatherwork.

Jordan Kelley signature directing style developed out of a belief in the implicit beauty of simplicity.  A product of the Pacific Northwest, Jordan Kelley’s passion for filmmaking was influenced by his appreciation for adventure and the outdoors. Jordan got his start in action sports, which translates into his ability to capture visually arresting images under pressure, and among the elements.  He is a director that completely immerses himself in the environment, shooting snowboarders freestyling just an arm’s-length away for “August Snow” or taking part in an early morning duck hunt for Avery Outdoors, pulling the viewer into the journey as a result.
