RKCR were briefed to find a way to reinforce the role the BBC plays in helping audiences understand the connection between politics and the issues that affect their day to day lives. On top of this it was important to look to broaden the appeal and appreciation of the BBC’s political content amongst a mainstream non-politically savvy audience, during and after the local elections. However they found that broader audiences beyond the politically savvy aren’t just disengaged with the BBC’s political content, they’re disengaged with politics. Full Stop. They needed an idea that could make politics feel real and relevant to our audiences day to day lives.
Everything is Politics. The BBC. Making Politics Make Sense.
A deceptively simple creative idea out of RKCR/YR. The shoot took place in various locations over 3 days and was produced by Red Bee Media/Moxie Pictures with MJ Delaney directing.
