New website matches donors with charities to boost the island's recovery after the devastation caused by Hurricane Maria
DDB Puerto Rico, part of Omnicom Group and digital leader of the market, developed online platform www.puertoricorecoveryindex.org to increase aid for the island’s recovery.

Launched on November 2nd, the Index aims to centralise, cure and connect donors with reliable organisations and crowdsourcing in a fast and effective way, while also giving them confidence that their efforts will reach the right hands.

Edgardo Manuel Rivera, Chief Executive Officer of DDB Puerto Rico, said: "We are committed to the island’s fast and full recovery by facilitating tools that help us obtain the necessary resources in the shortest amount of time. As communication specialists, we know that the digital world can help us reach every corner of the globe to request the help needed.”

The technology developed in Puerto Rico is based on first-hand knowledge and experience of the market which enables Index to provide the only hand-picked list of reliable organizations that allow donors to connect with causes by choosing from different categories. Between animal, art, music, and health organizations contributors will be able to easily donate to initiatives led by artists, athletes and other personalities such as Ricky Martin, Luis Fonsi, and Jose Juan Barea from the Mavericks. The platform facilitates finding and evaluating information and making bold decisions on which organizations to support.

Through this remarkable initiative, DDB aims to contribute to the cause with its talent and technology to improve people’s lives.

"We are confident that the Puerto Rico Recovery Index will serve as a facilitator for people around the world -who are aware of the dramatic situation and want to help us- to contribute in the way that suits them through the initiatives that are included in the page," added Rivera.
