Havas Worldwide Japan announced the appointment of David Morgan as Executive Creative Director effective September 1, 2014, responsible for leading all aspects of the agency’s creative evolution. In addition to leading the agency’s creative offering, he will also serve on the agency’s executive committee.

Prior to joining Havas, Morgan’s leadership experience in Japan and across Asia-Pacific was honed over 8 years with Ogilvy & Mather Japan, resulting in Gold wins at Cannes, PMAA, ADFEST, and AMEA, along with a range of other international prizes. In his new role, Morgan will partner with agency management to leverage Havas Worldwide Japan’s recent growth and success to bring together and focus the agency’s creative strengths for a new and evolving definition of creative agency value. He will help to serve such clients as Air France, Alcon, Alpine Electronics, BMW Motorrad, Evian, IBM, Orbis, Pernod Ricard, among others. Morgan will also oversee the consumer-facing work of Havas Life Japan’s portfolio of healthcare clients.

“We are privileged and delighted to welcome David to the Havas family,” said Stephen Cox, CEO of Havas Worldwide Japan. “David is a world-class creative, and his passionate affinity for Japanese consumers and the trajectories of client industries complement his deep, award-winning experience across new and traditional channels – and that really sets him apart in a very competitive market. David is the ideal leader to spearhead our relentless focus on innovative and effective work and to build on the momentum of yearly double-digit growth that has doubled our size and capabilities in the last three years.”

“To be invited to join Havas Worldwide Japan is an extremely exciting prospect,” said Morgan. “That it is a dynamic, successful, growing agency that is as innovative, vibrant and creative as the city in which it sits makes it an even greater opportunity. I am delighted to be part of Havas Worldwide Japan, to be leading the Tokyo creative team and contributing to the agency’s continued success. I'm also super eager to help produce work that is unique, outstanding and effective whilst looking towards new and challenging opportunities,” he continued.
