Knight Rider gets the wrong vehicle in this action-packed spot by Achtung in Hamburg
David Hasselhoff embarks on one of the slowest chases in history in this brilliantly silly spot for German online car marketplace Mobile.de.
Unlike his personer in Knight Rider, the Hoff finds himself on two rather than four wheels along the way. But he might not have chosen the right vehicle for the job, reveals the two minute film at the end, which airs from today on social media as well as on the online vehicle dealership’s website.
The aim of the campaign is to convey through humour that everyone has their own mobility needs and that Mobile.de can help everyone find the perfect vehicle for their day-to-day lives.
36 years since Knight Rider was shot, cars are closer to KITT than ever. They can speak, drive independently and even have artificial intelligence.
The campaign includes online and social media components, including Facebook executions, reaction videos and GIFs with Hasselhoff. Achtung from Hamburg is responsible as lead agency. The production of the film shot in Bucharest was overseen by Bigfish. CRSD is responsible for the implementation of the landing page and owned channels. Performance Media managed the digital strategy.
