David Corns Joins R/GA San Francisco as Managing Director
R/GA has hired David Corns as SVP, managing director of its San Francisco office. In this role he will be responsible for leading the vision, strengthening operations, and growing key client relationships in the Bay Area.

“Dave is a natural leader, a professional whose experience leading global teams at creatively-driven companies has prepared him for all sides of what we do - from advertising and innovation, to brand management,” said Sean Lyons, president, US, R/GA. “I knew we needed to hire Dave once I met him. I look forward to watching him build on the success of R/GA San Francisco alongside the broader leadership team.”

Corns most recently helmed the brand management department at Venables Bell & Partners where he led the agency’s flagship Audi of America business, as well as the Audi Global and Chipotle relationships. Prior to VB&P he held various positions during his nine years at Crispin Porter & Bogusky in Boulder, Miami and London, and spent time at Wieden+Kennedy and TBWA.

“It’s hard to imagine an agency better positioned for the fast-paced changes we are seeing in culture, business, and technology than R/GA” said Corns. “The San Francisco office is the second largest R/GA office in the US, has the largest tech team in the network, and is integrating creativity and emerging technology with enviable results. I couldn’t be more excited to join this talented group of people to help shape the future of the agency.”

David will partner with Noel Franus, who recently joined R/GA San Francisco as executive creative director after a brief stint with R/GA APAC, Kelli Robertson who has led strategy for R/GA San Francisco since 2015, executive production director, Ellie Hardy, and executive technology director, John Tubert. Together they will draw on R/GA’s vision of partnering systems and stories to lead disruption for the company’s clients.
