Dark Energy Signs David Betteridge

Filmmaker joins for UK representation

Dark Energy Signs David Betteridge

Director David Betteridge has signed to Dark Energy’s roster for UK representation. Betteridge is a rare gem, being a talented narrative storyteller, cinematographer and director with a plethora of 360 experience and knowledge. His talents are often called upon by those requiring strategic and creative input into campaigns with key 360 elements. His reel contains projects for Google, NBC, VW, Nokia, Microsoft and most recently, HP.

Betteridge notes: "When I started working with 360, it was more of a side project to my other directing work but I quickly discovered what an interesting and powerful storytelling tool it was."  Betteridge set up a immersive content studio called Citizen 360, which will be accessible to Dark Energy’s clients.

Dark Energy founder, Matt Brown comments: "David is obviously a fantastic addition to our roster of talent. His skills and experience in 360 are second to none and we look forward to offering up world class 360 solutions to our client base."

His latest work for HP tells the story of digital nomads, working in unusual or remote locations on HP laptops. The campaign is split across three films and features a hotelier in Nicaragua, an Indonesian blogger and a Hong Kong based agency for graffiti artists and DJs. The films were recently released online, alongside social media elements which were also shot by Betteridge.
