ARC EDIT has welcomed the talented Daniel Fry to the fold as executive producer, working across its Sydney and Melbourne facilities.
With The Editors for almost a decade, Daniel recently spread his wings for a stint on the freelance circuit before joining ARC in March 2020.
He joined the company as part of a restructure that saw ARC say goodbye to head of production, Olivia Carolan.
Says Joe Perkins, managing director, ARC EDIT: “When Liv told us she wanted to try something new we did have a collective panic. There aren’t many people out there able to live up to what she achieved in her role and brought to the company. Daniel’s name was the first on the list and he really was the only choice to replace such a pivotal figure in our team. I’ve known Daniel for the better part of ten years and we have worked together for a good chunk of that time. It’s been a tough start to the role after joining just as COVID turned the world upside down, but I’m delighted to finally announce it! Drew, Pete, Dave & I are looking forward to seeing Daniel push the company forward as we move into the next stage of ARC’s story.”
Says Daniel: “I’ve watched ARC grow to become one of the world’s best edit houses over the last few years. The calibre of talent, the standard of work, and just the way they see the world of storytelling is something that I’ve always really admired, so when Joe asked me to come on full time, it was a no-brainer. It’s been a wild time to start such a huge new chapter for me and now that we’re settling into this new normal, I am so excited to make some beautiful stuff with this talented bunch of people.”
