MIND x MINT is the first art released by the collaboration between DaHouse and Zico Farina for the collection BLINK AND. It's a metaphor for the excess of information and its process of assimilation and rejection. Information invariably invades our heads without giving us refreshments.
The soundtrack, composed by Lucas Mayer, is also a collage between an accordion recorded in 2017 in Glasgow, Scotland, and synthesisers recorded last week in Brazil.
Zico Farina is a creative director who lives and works in São Paulo, Brazil. His work ARQUIPÉLAGO was part of the Nova Fotografia Project of MIS - Museum of Image and Sound of São Paulo. He has worked in
collective exhibitions in Wales, Portugal, Belgium and published in Japan and the UK.
Zico Farina, creative director, says: "The confinement of Covid-19 made circulation impossible and, consequently, the exercise of photographing on the street. But that did not make it impossible for me to turn my paper printer into a camera. The videos in the 'BLINK AND...' series are the destruction of images as a way to build a new narrative. The mix between photography, collage, illustration, and DaHouse's Music. Everything is brought together in the blink of an eye."
DaHouse released the website
dahouse.cc to welcome new artists and help them get into the crypto world. DaHouse intends to invest all its NFT's profits into contemporary Brazilian artists' NFTs, helping to increase the digital art ecosystem in Brazil.
Recently Mayer, DaHouse's co-founder, also launched the first Latin NFT Marketplace for Brazilian Music,
phonogram.me.
