Dael Oates Captures the ‘Future Perfect’ for Children’s Hospital at Montefiore

Los Angeles and New York-based creative content company Chromista is excited to announce that Dael Oates directed a bespoke short documentary film, Future Perfect, for the Montefiore Einstein Gala 2021. Held on November 10th, 2021, the virtual gathering of physicians and philanthropists celebrated the 20th anniversary of Children’s Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM).

Future Perfect captures the heart and passion that have galvanised CHAM to ascend rapidly to the top of the global medical field over the past two decades and make great strides towards their mission of giving children better futures. The film combines poignant emotional portraits of the children and families who have benefitted from the ground breaking work at CHAM with compelling insights from the physicians and researchers who have pioneered these transformative medical interventions. Evocative and beautiful imagery accompanies the passionate, honest, and deeply moving testimonials throughout the film, while animation and visual effects add a layer of hope, inspiration, and whimsy – a powerful visual metaphor for a future that has been made possible for thousands of children because of the breakthroughs made at CHAM.

“It was an honour to be tapped to bring these heartening and uplifting stories to life,” says director Dael Oates. “The work done by CHAM is amazing even in the abstract, but it takes on a gravitas and becomes relatable when we see the human faces and lives that have been touched by these incredible medical advances.”

Ted Robbins, executive producer at Chromista says: “We are humbled to have had the opportunity to honour and underscore the tremendous work done by CHAM in such a short period of time. Dael’s film is a moving tribute to the doctors, patients, their families, and hospital community that have made these inspiring stories possible.”
