In response to the rapidly developing situation caused by COVID-19 and following feedback from its community, D&AD have shared a number of actions it’s taking regarding this year’s awards.
Many entrants have been requesting more time and flexibility for submitting work, therefore extended the Awards entry deadline to 26 March. Find out more.
More digital submissions options
The current circumstances are making it difficult for some entrants to submit physical entries in some categories. In response, D&AD have introduced new digital submission options for the Press and Outdoor, Art Direction and Direct categories. The submission options for all other categories remain the same. Entrants can download the latest entry kit with the updated category submission criteria here.
Judging and contingency planning
Rest assured that, despite the unprecedented circumstances surrounding this year’s awards, all work will be judged with the rigour and to the extremely high standards you have come to expect from D&AD. A Pencil will be just as hard to win as ever!
D&AD are currently putting contingency plans in place should circumstances dictate that in-person judging proves impractical for some categories. The changes to the Press and Outdoor, Art Direction and Direct categories will help facilitate such changes. The safety of our staff, judges and participants is uppermost in our mind at this challenging time. We are continuing to monitor the situation day by day and will inform you of any changes to our judging processes as soon as we are able to do so.
