Culinary theatrics The Robin Collective launches the world’s first ultimate sport; House of Toast, launching at Drink, Shop & Do in Kings Cross on 10th July 2014
DJ Jess Indeedy of Musical Bingo fame will be providing the soundtrack to the theatrical toast themed night all evening - including an exclusive track to the winners circle dance party. Alongside the bread themed tunes will be toast themed cocktails, exclusively created by the Drink, Shop & Dance bar.
House of Toast throws participants’ teams against each other in a brilliant battle of building. Generous bread rations will be supplied to each team with a special souped-up toaster - each with its own wrestler-style stats, including Crumb Crusher 3000 and El Toastador.
Each team must nominate Toaster Wranglers, architects, and master builders, after designing their edifice in the first round. A mini quiz gives participants the chance to win better/extra building materials (like jam, cocktail sticks and marshmallow fluff). When the construction is complete, points will be awarded for height, grandeur, creativity and strength.
Robin said “We wanted to invent a new sport where everyone can compete. Forget Olympics and Paralympics our House of Toast champions will receive the highly sought after Golden Toast Trophy – better than any golden post-box. Plus, everyone, winner or not, gets to scoff their creations and dance the night away we feel is very important for sports ’.
