The first Covid-19 creative challenge from Crowdiate yields big ideas encouraging us all to keep going

In an effort to support the fight against Covid-19, Crowdiate conducted a pro-bono creative challenge calling for big ideas that would encourage people to stay strong, to stay safe and to pull together to overcome this global threat. The brief prompted 92 concepts submitted from over 15 countries.

“Now more than ever, the world needs creative ideas to positively influence behaviour,” says Aaron Nemoy, Founder and CEO of Crowdiate. “Our global creative community responded to the call with heart and an abundance of diverse perspectives.”

One of the entries immediately jumped out to the team, received from a Canadian copywriter living in Hong Kong. ‘O Canada’ with its inventive wordplay on a line from the Canadian national anthem felt sure to resonate across the country. “We loved this idea and couldn’t wait to get it out there,” says Aaron.

Crowdiate worked with Media City who generously agreed to support the creative on outdoor digital billboards from coast to coast throughout April. The team is working to push these positive messages into other channels, and any media outlet is welcome to run with the assets at no charge.

Crowdiate is actively looking for help to turn more of these ideas into action. Creative submissions are also being shared with the UN for consideration in their effort to bring localised public health messages to countries around the world.
