After 11 years in Shoreditch, Candid-acquired agency, Creature London is moving to a new office in London’s west end

Creative agency, Creature London is moving to a new office in London’s Covent Garden. The move follows the agency’s acquisition by the Dutch group, Candid, and will see the Covent Garden space become Creature’s global headquarters as it continues to expand into new markets. The agency has already established an office in Amsterdam this year.

“21 Curtain Road has been Creature London’s home for over a decade - since there were just 6 of us bouncing around in here” said Dan Cullen-Shute, worldwide CEO and founder of Creature. “11 years later, while sad to say goodbye to the office where Intelligent Misbehaviour was born, bees were kept and Halloween became our favourite day of the year, it is incredibly exciting to move into a new space that not only works for the new breed of Creature we’ve become, but heralds a new era for the agency and the wider Creature group. When we announced that we were joining Candid, it was right because it was the beginning of something, not the end of something - and the same is true of this move: new partners, global offices, even bigger ambitions, and lots of fun to be had along the way.”

The new office on Macklin Street is significantly larger than the previous space on Curtain Road and, as well as acting as a global hub for the Creature group and the other agencies on the Candid platform, it has been designed to support Creature’s ongoing commitment to hybrid working, through it’s 3:2 working system. The 7,663 square foot space is across one floor, ensuring that the whole agency can continue to focus on collaborative working, but will also include soundproof booths for virtual meetings, creative working spaces and, like any good home, the open-plan kitchen has been designed as the central space for the agency to come together.

Ben Middleton, chief creative officer at Creature expands “when it came to finding Creature’s new home it was important to bring with us all the things that make the agency an exciting place for the team and our clients to make wonderful things, but also evolve it so that we're making the most of the brave, flexible new world we're now sailing into. With this in mind we now have a highly diverse set of working environments that range from private comfy sofa spaces, to standing desks and cafe areas, all while keeping (and having much more of) our much-loved open-working pin board. Naturally there's always going to be the weird and wonderful ephemera kicking about (we do accumulate a lot of cool stuff), but now it's kept in a slicker more polished space.”

The Candid Platform lives downstairs, with a ground floor hosting an open plan space, meeting rooms, and a coffee bar, that will act as a central London working space for Brand Potential, Positive, and the other agencies on the Candid platform, as well as for any clients and partners that wish to use it.

The agency is moving to the new office today, Wednesday 19th October and over the next few months, Creature, along with Candid’s other UK agencies Brand Potential and Positive, will be hosting several events to welcome clients and staff to the new hub.
