Creative Outpost Expands Further into the World of ADR with Alex Wilson-Thame

Creative Outpost is a Dolby Atmos HETV picture and sound facility, based in a private courtyard in Soho. They are security certified by all the major streamers, boasting studios capable of both in booth recording and crowd for ADR. Here, they chat about its experience and welcoming Alex to the team. 

2020 will always remain a significant year for everyone in the industry but here at Creative Outpost, this was also the moment we first dipped our toes into the world of ADR

With a collective 30yrs experience in commercial sound design, this was to be an exciting and challenging adventure, opening up new possibilities, workflow and technical achievements

With our ADR and Longform projects growing, we needed to expand our team, enter the fantastically talented Alex Wilson-Thame, who throughout his career has been fortunate enough to work with some of the best talent out there.

Some of Alex's most recent ADR projects include ‘Willow’ on Disney+, ‘Guardians of The Galaxy Vol.3’ for Marvel and ‘The Pod Generation’ starring Emilia Clarke and Chiwetel Ejiofor, amongst a plethora of exciting projects coming up in 2023.

Alex commented “I have always found ADR fascinating & love working with the actors in the studio to re-capture the emotion and delivery from on set. As well as the technicality of recording techniques, to bedding in the ADR to the mix, with the vast collection of very sophisticated tools at my disposal.

Like with many facets of post production, you know when you have done a good job, when nobody knows that you have done it - that rings especially true with ADR.

The rest of 2023 looks set to be a busy one for Creative Outpost, with the battle of the streaming platforms, there is a wealth of fantastic content being produced, but with that comes pretty intense schedules!”
