Nucco Brain, the visual storytelling studio, is launching Nucco Black, a creative agency for high-quality digital content and strategy, set up specifically to work with brands and agencies to deliver strategy and innovative digital campaigns in conjunction to its visual storytelling services.
The launch of Nucco Black sees Social Media Week London partner with the new creative agency to provide social live-sketching during the week-long conference, providing an opportunity for Nucco Black to demonstrate its talent and approach to storytelling content.
Taking place this week, 22-26 September, Social Media Week is considered one most important events of the year in the digital industry as it provides the ideas, trends, insights and inspiration to help people and businesses understand how to achieve more in a hyper-connected world. The event features a central stage for keynotes and panels, multiple rooms for workshops, masterclasses and presentations, and an area dedicated to co-working, networking and interactive installations.
Nucco Black will have a team of illustrators attending Social Media Week London to live-sketch during the conferences, documenting and illustrating the talks in the way it was done long before the advent of the camera. Additionally, every day the on-site illustrator will create a couple of graphic representations of the most important and impactful quotes by top influencers of the day. The quotes will be selected by Social Media Week London and shared across various media channels.
Nicole Brown, Director of Marketing and Communications of Social Media Week London comments: “We are very excited to be partnering with newly launched creative agency Nucco Black to use live-sketching as another example of how high-quality content can achieve cut-through and communicate in a busy and hyper-connected world. By visually representing what thought-leaders at SMW London discuss we will be giving people another way to retain the most important concepts.”
The new creative agency for high-quality digital content and strategy is the brainchild of shareholders Edoardo Cassina, the former international head of social media marketing at Yahoo and previously global social media content manager at Nokia, Stefano Marrone, the co-founder of Nucco Brain and animation director/producer for various advertising campaigns and brands such as BMW, MINI and Barilla, and Simone Cimminelli, an investor manager and business angel.
Edoardo joins Nucco Black as Managing Director, responsible for developing the new agency and overseeing the strategy team. He comments: “Content creation is dramatically increasing, it’s a crowded place where brands fight daily against personal content shared by friends and family. With 78% of CMOs declaring that custom content is the future of marketing, having a strong content strategy is a trend in 2014, but it will be a must next year (source). The launch of Nucco Black and its team of talented storytellers, designers and strategists is timely in order to help brands stand out by providing high quality content.”
Nucco Black will see Simone Cimminelli provide active support to the management with regards to both national and international growth and development. Simone explains: “The social media industry is growing at a remarkable rate, increasing the demand for engaging and high quality content, as well as smart execution. The new Nucco Black team has both the expertise and skills to deliver an unrivalled service offer to top tier companies, and I am delighted to be part of the team, as well as supporting this new startup.”
Stefano Marrone, co-founder of Nucco Brain, takes on the role of head of content at Nucco Black. He adds: “Brands and corporates must continuously adapt or die. With the creation of Nucco Black, we recognise that visual storytelling isn’t simply another way to talk at consumers; but that social media and technology have fundamentally changed the way consumers interact with brands. Nucco Black has been set up in order to work with brands and corporates to deliver a more strategic, adaptive and continuous model of marketing through engaging visual storytelling.”
Nucco Black will be operating out of offices in Shoreditch, London.
