Tony Wright, Jose Miguel Sokoloff, Kitty Lun and Oscar Winning Director Ruby Yang to present at Spikes Asia “Creating Change - How Brave Are You?”
At Cannes Lions offshoot, Spikes Asia 2012, Lowe and Partners will present a seminar led by network’s Global Chairman, Tony Wright, on the topic “Creating Change - How Brave Are You?”
Wright will be joined on stage by Oscar winning Chinese director Ruby Yang, the only Chinese person to win an Academy Award for direction, President of Lowe’s Creative Council, Jose Miguel Sokoloff and Chairwoman of Lowe China, Kitty Lun.
This stellar panel will discuss how courage, tenacity and belief in your ideas is key to success. Ruby Yang will give the audience an insight into the real challenges of making cutting edge documentaries that tackle social conflict in China.
Jose Miguel Sokoloff, who recently won a Titanium Cannes Lion for his anti-terrorism work for the Colombian government, will draw comparisons between creating work that impacts social issues and the approach and attitude needed to make great work that can change the fortunes of brands.
Sokoloff commented:- "Creativity has always been key in fighting wars and winning them. In the past it was put to use to develop new weapons, new strategies, to crack new codes and to devise new ways to gather intelligence. At Lowe, we feel a new era is dawning. The era of creativity, to end conflict in peaceful ways".
Kitty Lun is Chairwoman of Lowe China, which remains one of the toughest countries in the world to speak freely and express yourself creatively, without boundaries. Kitty is a Creative Director who has created many campaigns aimed at highlighting ‘taboo’ issues and encouraging social activation and participation.
Wright chairs the panel who will advise on the impact and challenges of our industry’s collective creativity on effecting social change, bringing the idea of bravery in our work to life with real examples and personal experiences - and leave the Spikes audience with an important question – are you brave enough in your work?
