Cream, the annual global showcase of the twenty hottest young creative teams and individuals, delivered a night to be remembered for the 17th consecutive year last week.
Cream connects young hopefuls to the ECDs of the world’s leading creative agencies and brands and culminated in a private view hosted by O+M London, at their new space within the Sea Containers House. This year’s event featured a hard-hitting new format that saw the winners take to the stage to present a selection of their work.
Cream winners have gone on to create famous, award-winning work, become high profile ECDs and start successful agencies. Through Cream creatives have secured placements at agencies including Droga5, Google Creative Lab, adam&eveDDB, Wieden+Kennedy, Ogilvy and Mother. Previous winners have come from Watford, SCA 2.0, Central St Martins, CUCA, DMJX: Kreativ Kommunikation, Berghs School of Communication and Miami Ad School – Cream has become an international platform for undiscovered creativity.
The night proved a huge success with all twenty finalists securing interviews and follow up meetings with top agencies and CCO’s.
The Talent Business Managing Partner & Head of Creative Talent, Katriona Fraser said that “the standard was higher than ever. Agencies and creative tech companies are fighting to spot raw talent they can nurture in order to future proof their businesses. Cream is the perfect platform to showcase undiscovered creativity, the currency of our industry. "
Judging took place throughout July and August, when a dedicated jury made up of senior creative directors from the world’s leading advertising agencies and creative businesses selected the most pioneering work.
Ogilvy CCO Mick Mahoney added "O&M London was very proud to host Cream this year. We provided the first opportunity for this new wave of talent to smack people in the face with their creative brilliance. This year's new format worked wonderfully, and I hope it will encourage these new teams to continue to be brave - hitting us in our faces daily with their awesomeness."
