Cossette Hires Jessica Borges to Lead Multicultural Agency Koo

Creative industry veteran Jessica Borges has been appointed VP, business leadership at Koo, Cossette’s internal multicultural agency. The appointment strengthens both agencies’ commitment to partner with brands to create inclusive campaigns and to lead change within the creative industry. 

“I’ve made a career advocating for inclusivity within creativity, and I’m thrilled to be part of the Cossette family and Koo team to help shape the way that both our agencies and clients communicate and grow within this space,” says Jessica. “EDI-centered campaigns go beyond diverse casting and adaptation for diverse market segments; it’s about leveraging insights with a heavy dose of nuance. My background as a creative and strategic advocate gives me the opportunity to take on this new role with a confidence and understanding that lends itself well to creating great work with impact.”

With over 20 years in the industry, Jessica joins Koo from Maple Diversity Communications where as chief creative officer and chief strategy officer, she led the overall brand strategy and creative execution for the agency’s clients. Before this, she was vice president, creative at Dyversity Communications Inc, creative director at Impact Y&R in Muscat, Oman, and associate creative director at McCann Worldgroup in Mumbai, India.  

An active member of the community, Jessica has been a guest speaker at the Toronto Public Library during Asian Heritage Month and has volunteered her time to give media literacy and interactive storytelling workshops at schools around the GTA. In her role as VP, business leadership, Jessica will be tasked with growing Koo’s client portfolio and leading the business development at the agency.
