The latest track from the Trinidad born, London based artist is an emotional tale of intense love. Berwyn takes us through a journey reflecting on times in love and all the heartwarming memories that were created. However, as situations unfold and reality starts to sink in it becomes more apparent that the love isn’t quite as strong as they hoped and have to go their separate ways dealing with regret and loss.
Director, Taz Tron Delix, manifests these themes by creating a world where only Berwyn and his partner exist and their passionate relationship shapes the surroundings. We see Taz’s signature warming colour palettes and swirling camera movements are used to portray the rollercoaster of emotions, visually reflecting the mind state of Berwyn and his partner going through first love heartbreak and pain. Images of floating mid air and reversed scenes not only adds an element of surrealism, but also drives home that feeling of what it’s like to be in love only being brought back down to reality when that same feeling starts to crumble.
Taz Tron Delix is a London based director coming from a background in visual effects and post production, driving his eye to the most obscure detail in everything he directs and manipulates in post.
From his early work in music with the likes of Mike Skinner and Ragz Original, Taz tackled the urban scene in the short space of a few years, winning the UKMVA for Best Urban Newcomer for his three part music video 'Tate Modern,Wary & Pearls'.
2019 saw Taz starting an ongoing collaboration with one for the UK's most influential artists, Stormzy. Their first project together - ‘Audacity' saw the politically charged rapper command control of an 18 wheeler truck. Then in 2020 against a backdrop of the BLM movement they released ‘Superheroes,’ a fully animated video that perfectly captured that moment and celebrated black excellence.
Taz's bold visual style has also helmed pieces for brands such as Adidas, Google, Topshop and most recently the worldwide TOUGH AS YOU campaign celebrating 60 years of iconic brand Dr Martens. His control over using mixed media, post production and in camera techniques has elevated all the tone and impact of all his commercial campaigns to create a unique catalogue of work.
