Cohn & Wolfe, a leading communications agency, today announced further expansion in Greater China with the opening of a wholly owned office in Guangzhou to meet growing client demands. With existing offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing, the agency’s Greater China offering has grown significantly over the past two years, handling communications for domestic, regional and international brands in consumer, corporate, healthcare and technology.
The Guangzhou office is opening under the leadership of Tiffany Bai, Managing Director, Mainland China, who also oversees Shanghai and Beijing and has driven major growth across the country, including the addition of new clients AliCloud (Alibaba Cloud Computing), Asics, Cameron Pace Group, United Airlines and Wyeth. Cyrus Yeung, who joins Cohn & Wolfe after nine years in marketing communications at Procter & Gamble China, will oversee the Guangzhou office as Market Leader, reporting to Bai.
Cohn & Wolfe was recently appointed PR Agency of Record for Colgate, a client the agency already represents in more than 10 markets across North America, Europe and Southeast Asia. The China account will be based in Guangzhou, where the team will provide integrated communications services such as e-content creation and design, e-commerce integration, video development and social and digital media for a range of Colgate brands.
“It is the perfect time for Cohn & Wolfe to establish a presence in Guangzhou. As the city evolves from a center of manufacturing and trading into an innovation and technology hub, there is great client demand for our expertise in integrated communications for technology and consumer goods brands,” says Bai. “I have no doubt we’ll maintain our momentum as we continue to attract fresh talent and prestigious new clients like Colgate.”
“I am so proud of what we’ve accomplished in China since opening our first office there nearly a decade ago, and most recently under Tiffany’s outstanding leadership in mainland China,” says Donna Imperato, Chief Executive Officer, Cohn & Wolfe. “With new talent and expertise across all industries, our China team is well positioned to service a growing list of multinational clients, as well as local brands and industries looking for integrated marketing and branding solutions.”
Cohn & Wolfe Asia-Pacific now has 12 offices across the region, representing leading local and multinational brands across a range of industries, including automotive, consumer, corporate, digital, healthcare, technology and travel & tourism. The Greater China team has been awarded for its work for an array of clients, including pharmaceutical company MSD, Dell, the 1,600 Pandas World Tour in Hong Kong, Chinese restaurant Paradise Dynasty and air purifier manufacturer Blue Air. Recently, the agency acquired a majority stake in India agency Six Degrees and was named 2015 Southeast Asia Consultancy of the Year by The Holmes Report.
