Coffee & TV today announces another key hire to further strengthen the studio’s 3D team. Jonny Grew will take up a senior CG artist position and work alongside recently appointed talent, Josh George. The creative duo’s complementary modelling, illustration and animation skills have produced countless iconic projects over the last 13 years.
Katie Dymmock will also be joining Coffee & TV as assistant colourist. Katie will support Head of Colour, Simona Cristea and the burgeoning grading department. Coffee & TV secured the appointment of highly respected and sought-after colourist, Simona in late 2017.
Jonny Grew is a rigging and animation specialist with over 15 years experience. He has worked across a wide variety of projects from the BBC’s headline Rio 2016 Olympics animated campaign to leading the crowd effects for Nike's short brand film, 'The Last Game'. Jonny was also the team lead and animation director responsible for the creation of the baby Teletubbies, the Tiddlytubbies.
Derek Moore CEO and Co-Founder says: “Jonny is an exceptional artist and we’re so pleased he’s now a permanent member of the team. While Jonny and Josh are incredible talents separately, together their complementary skills are astonishing. Jonny and Josh have worked their magic on some of Coffee & TV’s most impressive work, including the rebrands for Indian and Chinese broadcasters Zee TV and CCTV respectively. Most recently they brought the Game of Thrones CG raven to life, for M&C Saatchi’s Royal Mail campaign. We are in no doubt they will continue to deliver exceptional work now they’re both fully fledged members of staff. We are also really pleased to welcome Katie to grading. The department continues to flourish and both Katie and Simona have taken our colour grading work to another level.”
Jonny Grew said: “From day one of freelancing at Coffee & TV it felt like home, so I was delighted to be offered a senior position in the 3D team. Coffee & TV has such an incredibly creative and collaborative environment, we are really given the space to flourish. I’m looking forward to helping this brilliant team become the best in town.”view more - Hires, Wins & BusinessCoffee & TV, Fri, 09 Mar 2018 13:41:38 GMT
