Coffee & TV announces the appointment of Sarah Walsh as Head of Production, and Leonie Moreton as Business Development Director.
Sarah Walsh joins from MPC to head up the Production department, working alongside Coffee & TV co-founder and producer, Chris Chard. Originally from Birmingham, Walsh began her career in post at Smoke and Mirrors, where she rapidly worked her way up the ranks. She moved onto MPC where she most recently post-produced the highly praised John Lewis Christmas Campaign ‘The Lonely Penguin’.
Leonie Moreton will be developing new business opportunities both in the UK and internationally. Moreton ran a theatre company for many years, but having come from a family of advertising industry alumni, it was inevitable she would eventually make the move into the industry. She kicked off her career change in production, working for Gorgeous then HSI London and is thrilled to be joining the world of VFX.
Coffee & TV was set up in 2012 by co-partners Derek Moore, Phil Hurrell, John Trussler and Chris Chard.
Walsh said of her new post “When Coffee & TV first set up, everyone wished them all the success in the world as it was a creative talented bunch of great guys setting up because they love what they do. The ethos of the company is something I really love, it's an open plan space full of creativity and enthusiasm and their business model means there's more in the budget to push that extra creative. The size of the company has created a family like feel whilst still having the experience amongst them to output the best work. With the success they have achieved after only 2 years, I'm proud to be joining the team at such an exciting time so that our success and future can develop and grow together.”
Leonie Moreton is excited by the opportunities of this new post. “I met the guys at their fantastic villa party in Cannes, and the experience made a lasting impression on me! Coffee & TV is made up of a small team of incredibly talented, passionate and dedicated individuals; I’m honored to be part of it. They’re already making a big impact from their relatively small studio in Soho and have recently opened a second studio in Bristol, which is the central hub of their Broadcast VFX arm. With plans afoot to open further studios internationally, there couldn’t have been a more exciting time to join.”
Co-founder and Managing Director Derek Moore, said of his new recruits; “We are thrilled to welcome Leonie and Sarah to the family. These two senior appointments come at an exciting time for our small company and underline our commitment to work with only the very best people in their field. They are both brilliant additions to our team and I am delighted they chose to further their careers with us.”
