While all of us look forward to the holidays, there are some individuals who will be working extra hours and dealing with a high volume of customers whom they still serve with a smile. Every holiday and festival, retail employees sacrifice valuable time with their loved ones to ensure that their customers have a great day. But Capillary decided to make this Chinese New Year different.
The retail focused, customer engagement company took it upon themselves to do something special for retail employees who were working hard this Chinese New Year. In shopping malls in Singapore, Capillary followed these employees under the guise of filming a commercial.
They went on to surprise each of them with a New Year tradition to say thank you differently. One group of young waitresses at Pizza Hut received blessings in traditional red envelopes from an elderly couple. In another store, Capillary brought in lion dancers and lucky dumplings to spread festive cheer.
Chinese New Year celebrations are all about sharing laughter, fun and good fortune with loved ones. “We wanted to extend that wish to the individuals who may not get thanked on a daily basis but who play a big role in making our holidays memorable,” says Capillary CEO Aneesh Reddy.
We all need to ay ‘thank you’ a little more often, especially during the holidays and joining the movement #CNYThankYou is a great place to start. Capillary is encouraging viewers to take a selfie with someone they want to thank, share it with #CNYThankYou and tag three friends to do the same for the chance to win a little prize themselves.
