Click 3X announced today the addition of Director Manny Bernardez to its dynamic roster of directors, bringing extensive and innovative filmmaking chops to Click 3X with a focus on sports and athletics.
Bernardez is known for skillfully combining emotion, craftsmanship and spectacle to create compelling content as a filmmaker. Most recently, he was Creative Director and Director for Savage, creating work for clients such as Nike, Columbia Sportswear, Adidas, Rockport and Dick’s Sporting Goods, among others.
“Manny is a gifted visual storyteller,” said Megan Kelly, Executive Producer, Managing Director, Click 3X Live Action. “His work is anthemic, yet intimate, and with his past brand and agency experience, he is able to approach projects from a 360 degree perspective. We are thrilled to have his unique talent and passion for creating on our team here at Click 3X.”
Bernardez got his start in filmmaking after relocating from Caracas to Orlando where he double majored in Recording Engineering and Digital Media at Full Sail. His new passion turned into jobs for MTV Latino, Nickelodeon, Discovery Channel and HTV. He also co-founded the award-winning design and animation studio Unburro. His career then took him west to become part of Nike’s Global Brand Design team following a brief stint at Teamheavy in New York. Soon thereafter he became co-leader of the Nike Brand Kitchen, where he worked on a variety of notable quick-strike viral pieces. After his fruitful stint with Nike, Bernardez relocated to Boston to take the position of VP Group Creative Director at Digitas, where he was the creative lead on projects for General Motors, Chevrolet, Cadillac, GMC, Buick, Aflac and Olay.
“Click 3X has everything that I’ve been seeking housed in one place: A forward thinking production company that’s not afraid to trail blaze and improve upon the current production company model; A company whose rich post production heritage allows me to fully unleash my creative skill set through a project’s lifetime; and lastly, I wanted to work with driven, likeminded folks!” said Bernardez.
