CICLOPE Festival is happy to announce the launch of CICLOPE Africa, the first ever film craft award in the continent, dedicated to recognise the most well-crafted campaigns and music videos made by African companies and/or for the region.
The event (a conference and a winner's showcase) will take place at the MOCAA (Museum of Contemporary Art Africa), in Cape Town, on Tuesday 10th April, and it will become a benchmark of the best of the region and a platform to discover new talent.
The work will be judged by a selection of local professionals as well as top creatives and producers from all over the world. Rozanne Rocha-Gray (Romance Films), Ralph Laucella (O Positive), Kim Geldenhuys (0307), Antoine Bagot (Ogilvy Paris), Amy Allais (OLA! Films), Trish Russell (AMV BBDO), Teboho Mahlatsi (The Bomb) and Michelle Corney (Final Cut) are just some of them.
To help foster the work of African professionals and keep on building bridges among the industry, CICLOPE Africa's winning works will automatically become finalists at CICLOPE Festival, the global award show to be held in Berlin, on November 8 & 9, 2018. Ciclope Africa is part of a series of regional events that will continue on 31st May with CICLOPE Latino in Mexico City.
Call for entries for CICLOPE Africa is open until March 16, and tickets are already available here.
