Ciclope 2012 Winners Announced

 

The 3rd Ciclope International Advertising Craft Festival took place in Buenos Aires on 5th – 8th November. Ciclope is the only global festival that truly honours the craft skills in the advertising production industry.  
 
The festival, held at Cámaras y Luces, Palermo District, was a huge success and the expectations were happily fulfilled. During four days, the public got the chance to watch, learn and debate side by side with top international creative leaders and decision makers from the production community. Some of the names behind those leaders were Daniel Bergmann, founder and CEO of Stink (UK), Steve Davies, Chief Executive of the Advertising Producers Association in London & Executive Vice President of the CFPE, Matthew Miller, President & CEO of AICP (US), Richard Ulfvengren, Founder of Traktor (Sweden-US), UK’s AKQA Executive Creative Director, Duan Evans, India’s Roopak Saluja, Founder and CEO of Bang Bang Films and Jack in the Box Worldwide and David Rolfe, Director of Integrated Production at BBDO NY (US) (Please see editors notes for full list of award categories, judges and speakers).
 
Ciclope was pleased to announce that the Grand Prix went to UK’s The Mill for their spot ‘Three Little Pigs’ for The Guardian (below). There were 18 gold prizes, 35 silver and 43 bronze. The Mill also raised the prize for Best Animation & VFX Company, and Stink, Best Live Action Company. BBDO NY got a special mention of Production Achievement from the Jury for their campaign ‘The New Possible’ for AT&T. 
 
 
 
The event has carried forward various activities and the level of the public presentations from the speakers was remarkable. The list included seminars and workshops and screenings from diverse formats that showcased valuable insights about the processes and the current development of the industry.
 
Among this figures were speakers Chris O´Reilly (Director at Nexus), Richard Ulfvenfren from Traktor, Duan Evans, Executive Creative Director, AKQA, Roopak Saluja, Founder and CEO of Bang Bang India and Jack in the Box, Daniel Bergmann, Founder of Stink, Erik Verheijen, Head of Broadcasting Production TV at Wieden & Kennedy Amsterdam and Alistair Thompson, Managing Director at The Mill.
