Chromista Signs Director Morgan Cooper

Morgan joins for commercial representation in the US

Chromista Signs Director Morgan Cooper

Chromista has announced the addition of Morgan Cooper to its director roster for exclusive commercial representation in the US.

Morgan Cooper is a director whose work combines art with a deep sense of purpose. His short film Bel-Air, a reimagined trailer for the iconic The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, picked up praise from numerous outlets and sources including Fast Company, Deadline, and Hypebeast. A Vimeo Staff Pick, the viral film depicts the iconic television show as a drama set in 2019. Original Fresh Prince star Will Smith also praised for the film, and interviewed Cooper on the making.

Cooper most recently wrote and directed the short film in collaboration with Adorama, U SHOOT VIDEOS?, a current Vimeo Staff Pick. Based on a true story, the film follows Moji, a young filmmaker who shoots low budget music videos for a living in Kansas City and is looking to expand his horizons and take a leap forward. Cooper’s additional films include Vimeo Staff Pick State of America (A Visual Expression), LEVITATION, and Room Tone.

Cooper’s Midwest roots and experience growing up in Kansas City resonate throughout his work, which features a distinct voice, strong vision, and passion for storytelling. He began his career as a cinematographer, a role which developed his visually distinctive brand of storytelling.

Says Chromista partner and EP, Ted Robbins: “In a very saturated market, Morgan truly stands out because of his diverse film making abilities as a writer, director and cinematographer. He is a true storyteller who understands his audience and how to convey the messages he wants to be heard. He is constantly creating and producing work independently. We are so excited to be apart of his journey because its bound to be an extraordinary one.”
