In May, CHI & Partners NY teamed up with channel THIRTEEN to launch a series of fake reality television posters in subways all over the city.
This month, CHI & Partners NY and channel THIRTEEN are extending the campaign by releasing TV promos for a series of all-‐new fake reality shows. At the end of these trailers a plain and simple message is revealed, “The fact that you thought this was a real show says a lot about the state of TV.” The spots were directed by Paul Riccio of Sandwick Media.
“There used to be stations that provided people with educational and thought-‐provoking programs. Unfortunately, THIRTEEN is one of the last stations that has stood its ground, and people need to support it if they still want it as an option,” says Jeff Anderson, Executive Creative Director at CHI & Partners NY.
The spots will run on USA, TVLand, NY1 as well as Thirteen, WLIW and NJTV. They will also be released online, where they will direct people to thirteen.org where they can make a donation. People can also leave comments and chat about the campaign on Twitter, using the hashtag #TVGoneWrong.
