Cheil UK is continuing to sharpen its integrated credentials with the appointment of Fiona FitzGibbon as its first Head of Out of Home.
FitzGibbon, who joins from CBS Outdoor, will report to Matt Pye, MD at Cheil UK. Her remit is to formulate and deliver OOH strategy for all Cheil’s clients, including Samsung, across all disciplines, from planning and buying to innovation, integration and creative guidance.
FitzGibbon has experience in planning and delivering huge-scale campaigns including leading CBS’s London 2012 strategy. As part of the tender team and subsequently awarded sole provider of outdoor advertising to the Olympics and Paralympic Games, Fiona planned and managed all LOCOG’s Out of Home campaigns. She also delivered OOH strategies for two of the UK's largest retail destinations Westfield London and Westfield Stratford City.
Pye said: “Fiona’s appointment represents our ongoing commitment and company strategy to be unavoidably integrated, and our continued investment in hiring the best talent in the industry.
“From her time at CBS Outdoor, Fiona has hugely relevant experience of working on some incredibly high profile campaigns. She is a naturally strategic thinker and we have no doubt that she will play an important part in the future success of our business.”
FitzGibbon added: “Cheil UK is uniquely placed to act as pioneer in the OOH space with its suite of innovative services and truly integrated approach. I’m looking forward to working with the team to further enhance this offering.”
FitzGibbon’s appointment follows the additions of Duncan Cargill as creative director and Emma Perkins as Cheil UK’s first shopper marketing creative director.
