Cheil UK is boosting its creative credentials with the appointments of Duncan Cargill as creative director and Emma Perkins as its first shopper marketing creative director.
Cargill will oversee creative direction within the experiential team at Cheil UK, while Perkins has been brought on board to help drive ambitious growth for Cheil’s shopper marketing division. Both Perkins and Cargill will report in to Logan Wilmont, Cheil UK executive creative director.
Cargill was previously creative director at Fallon, has more than 13 years experience in the advertising and media industries. Prior to Fallon, Cargill was creative director at The Hospital Club for six years. His CV also includes stints at General Assembly and Channel 4.
Perkins started in the industry more than 15 years ago, and In 2004, she joined the newly formed Saatchi and Saatchi X, the world’s first network dedicated to shopper marketing. As executive creative director of London, Perkins steered the creative team to achieve agency of the year at the MAAs and recognition at award shows including ISP, D&AD and Cannes.
During her time at Saatchi X, Perkins worked closely with Simon Hathaway, now president, shopper marketing and retail operations at Cheil. Perkins will work alongside James Dotchin, retail creative director.
Wilmont said: “Both appointments are in line with our ambition to grow by bringing the best talent in the sector to work on our clients’ businesses. Emma’s previous shopper work with Simon Hathaway has made for a formidable and award-winning team in the retail arena, which will be of unquestionable benefit to Cheil’s clients too. Duncan is an equally powerful addition, and his amazing track record in non-traditional integrated solutions is a huge asset as he leads our experiential creative team.’
