Cheil Worldwide Global Chief Creative Officer Malcolm Poynton has been confirmed as President of the Promo & Activation, Outdoor, Interactive and Mobile jury for the 2018 Dubai Lynx Awards.
The Dubai Lynx Awards celebrate the Middle East and North Africa region’s best creative work and take place during the Dubai Lynx International Festival, which runs March 11-14.
Malcolm said: “I am thrilled to be involved in this year’s Dubai Lynx and it will be fascinating to see the work entered; the promo and activation, outdoor, interactive and mobile category always throw up a host of exciting work.
“For me, however, this category is a powerful showcase of how creativity can use tech not for the sake of it, but to stir powerful emotions and build lasting bonds”.
Two times Cannes Jury President, Poynton joined Cheil Worldwide at the beginning of 2015 as Global Chief Creative Officer. He was recently named one of AdAge magazine’s ‘World Top 10 Digital Minds’ and named by TechCity insider as a leading UK ‘Digital innovator’.
Under Poynton’s creative leadership, Cheil Worldwide has emerged as one of the world’s leading creative networks in the Gunn Report, helping Samsung win Marketer of the Year titles at both Cannes Lions, EPICA and AdFest.
Prior to joining Cheil, Poynton was a member of Sapient Corporation's global leadership team and SapientNitro’s European Chief Creative Officer. M&C Saatchi, Saatchi & Saatchi, Ogilvy and SapientNitro have all won Agency of the Year titles during his creative leadership.
The Dubai Lynx International Festival of Creativity is the Middle East and North Africa region’s annual celebration of the best in creative communications. The sister festival to the Cannes Lion International Festival of Creativity, it runs this year March 11-14 and is taking place at the Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai.
