Made up of seven individually crafted and animated letters, the ident was created as a collection of animations that can stand alone in their own right, until they came together in perfect unison on Tuesday 23rd December.
The collection showcases jelly Kitchen as a space where diverse styles and techniques are blended to craft high-quality creative visual solutions. With expert technical knowledge, and the creative know how, jelly Kitchen can hand-pick a bespoke team of specialists to bring your project to life.
Collaborating with in-house talent, jelly Kitchen blur the lines between design and illustration, 2D and 3D, stop frame, character development and mixed media.
"We decided it would be fun to create a series of short quirky animations featuring each letter of the kitchen logo. We wanted to produce each one in a different style to keep them visually interesting as well as push ourselves creatively. We opted to use 2d, 3d, stop motion and live action techniques to create the videos. We talked to jelly Kitchen animator Sam Burton, about the making of the jelly Kitchen Christmas ident 2014,
We came up with the idea of showing a festive scene within each of the letters before they rotate and reveal the letter. The idea being that they then can be played separately as well as being joined together as a fun way of revealing the logo."
