Legendary director Michel Gondry was honoured with The Icon Award at the UK Music Video Awards last night.
The Awards, which are run by Louise Stevens and her team at Ballistic Events with PromoNews’ David Knight as editorial director, are a celebration of the creativity and craft in the wonderful world of music videos. To save you the hassle of trawling through YouTube for all of these gems, we’ve compiled a bumper list of every single winner for your very eyes (and ears).
Big winners on the night were Object and Animal, who just two years after launching picked up Production Company of the Year. Its video for FKA Twigs’ Cellophane won multiple awards and its work on Rosalía’s De Aqui No Sales earned them the International Pop Video award too. Best director went to Caviar’s Henry Scholfield, whose video for Stormzy’s Vossi Bop also won Video of the Year.
