Quigley-Simpson has created a new brand activation for client Chase-Marriott and its Marriott Bonvoy Boundless Card. While several travel-related brands have pulled back their marketing efforts significantly, The Marriott Bonvoy Boundless Card has joined forces with Daybreaker, a dance community of 500k+ community members across the globe, to inspire positive movement, community connections, and support the need for exploration and travel.
As a brand that believes deeply in the good of travel and all the positive things that it inspires in individuals and in the world as a whole, Marriott Bonvoy Boundless Card has developed and sponsored a special three-part, travel-themed virtual dance party with Daybreaker, to offer a sense of escapism and positivity during this time of home isolation.
These #SaturdayStaycation live events kicked off this past weekend and each feature a destination and corresponding dance style: India and Bollywood dance (30th May), Hawaii and Hula (6th June), and Miami and Salsa (13th June).
Prior to each event, registered attendees will receive a themed 'packing list' as well as virtual image backdrops of Marriott properties to further immerse party revellers in these beautiful destinations. Events will start with 45 minutes of dance instruction followed by an hour-long guided dance party experience. For example, the India/Bollywood event started with Doonya, a vibrant guided Indian dance class to bring out viewers' inner Bollywood star, followed by an electrifying India-inspired set by Bhangra music pioneer DJ Rekha and dance party. Events conclude with a mediation and intention setting ceremony.
Events are free to participants and all proceeds from the sponsorship will benefit Daybreaker’s global study on the science of dance in support of mental health.
