Charlie Roberson has joined Rogue as head of talent.
The production company is forging ahead with its plans of growth and reinvention and by partnering Charlie Roberson with Kate Taylor and James Howland, Rogue has vastly extended its reach to clients, creatives and the very best projects. In this brand-new role Charlie is looking forward to working with the already enviable roster and launching emerging talent as well as exciting new initiatives, as part of Rogue’s ambition to evolve and break ground in the entertainment industry.
Kate Taylor says: “We were looking for a Rogue, and I’m pretty sure we’ve found one! Charlie is a much-respected character in the industry and for good reason. He brings a sharp intellect combined with great taste and an energy that is infectious. His charisma and genuine passion for filmmaking means our directors feel in safe hands, and that kind of trust makes for an inspiring atmosphere at Rogue Towers. Good times ahead!”
James Howland HOP/EP says: “With everything that we’re building here, it’s great to have Charlie Roberson as a Rogue – he brings tenacity, strategic thinking and a refreshing approach that we’ve been looking for. "
Charlie joins Rogue from Stink where, in the three years as their head of sales, the company enjoyed a year-on-year increase at a particularly challenging time for the industry and Charlie made some enviable and enduring connections in the business. Working closely with advertising legends, selling an international and diverse roster of over 50 directors, whilst manoeuvring and managing the script flow of this global production company, Charlie gained invaluable knowledge and credibility. Prior to this he ran the sales department at Prettybird nurturing and developing talent and ideas on award-winning commercials, music videos and longer form content, having previously represented Directors, Writers and HoDs as an Agent, negotiating contracts for TV Series’ and feature films.
Roberson says: “I’m thrilled to be joining Rogue as head of talent. It’s already an incredible roster and I approach this new role with big ideas. I’m not here just to sell the directors, but to act as an agent or manager would; to find and explore all types of opportunities for them to grow their talent. To ensure that the industry is informed and interested in the incredible level of creativity at Rogue and to broaden all possibilities of high quality collaborations. Working alongside Kate, James and Charlie with their experience and pedigree coupled with our joint ambitions for the company make it a very exciting prospect.”
