Charli XCX Makes Ice Cool Directing Debut with Raye Promo 'I, U, Us'

Singer-songwriter Charli XCX - a.k.a.Charlotte Emma Aitchison - is better known for her performances in front of the camera, but now she's jumped into the director's chair with her latest project. In fact, the music video for 18 year old R&B singer Raye, which was produced by Partizan, marks Charli XCX's directorial debut. And if that wasn't enough, not only did Charli XCX direct the video for 'I, U, Us', she co-wrote it too,

Using powerful to-camera performance shots, breathtaking wide shots, Charli XCX creates a unique, naturalistic story against the aesthetically intriguing backdrop of a deserted ice rink.

One thing’s for sure, that boy’s never gonna integrated with candid footage and forget Raye...
