Celeste Performs at Abbey Road Studios in Video Produced by Ground Work

Ground Work has teamed up with Girls In Film to produce a four minute performance video of Celeste performing 'Hear My Voice' for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Shot at Abbey Road Studios, the piece was directed by Sammy King and Beatrix Baise.

‘Hear My Voice’ taken from Netflix’s ‘The Trial of the Chicago 7’, starring Eddie Redmayne and Sacha Baron Cohen, was composed by Daniel Pemberton. It was performed by Celeste, accompanied by Daniel Pemberton on piano, as well as a live band and the Chamber Orchestra of London.​ 

The stripped back set, designed to have a vintage look, speaks to what it would have been like to record at Abbey Road studios in the late '60s - when the Trial of the Chicago 7 took place. Golden lighting and a warm colour grade further enhance the nostalgic feel as the camera gracefully switches from aerial crane shots to SteadiCam movements.  

The powerful, uplifting ballad is also short-listed for the Oscar song category and is on Celeste's deluxe version of her album 'Not Your Muse'. The performance can be found on Stephen Colbert's YouTube channel.
